- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Personal Statement describing your interest in the AEGD Program and your personal and professional career goals
- GPA and/or class ranking forwarded directly from the Dean’s Office of the dental school attended
- Dental school transcripts (if accepted, official copies will be required)
- Three letters of recommendation from individuals who can personally attest to your personal and professional qualities as well as your clinical skills

The VCU Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program participates in the ADEA Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) program All applicants are responsible for registering for the PASS program and are responsible for adhering to all the deadline dates associated with PASS. The deadline for applications is September 1. A selection committee consisting of the program director and selected faculty screen applications for eligibility. Interviews are by invitation only. Currently, the program can only consider candidates who have earned, or will earn, a DDS or DMD degree from an accredited U.S. dental school by June 2027 and who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
The PASS application will include but not limited to the following:
- Current curriculum vitae or resume
- Official copies of dental school transcripts
- GPA/class ranking forwarded from the dean's office of the dental school attended
- Three letters of recommendation from individuals who can personally attest to your personal and professional qualities as well as your clinical skills.
The following supplementary items are to be submitted directly to AEGD by August 1:
- Personal statement indicating your interest in AEGD, including information about your experience and career goals (personal and professional) is required
- Application fee of $75 (US dollars) paid electronically online. (link coming soon)
- 2x2 inch photograph
- Formal application [PDF] (filled out in full)
- All supplementary materials must be sent directly to AEGD.
